Which came first the chicken or the egg?

Drum-roll please, and the winner is………. The Chicken!

The philosophical riddle of the last century has finally been solved using the modern-day magic called SCIENCE. This should come as no surprise to anyone that has seen CSI, or any of the Cold Case Files. If we can prove ‘the butler did it’ using a black light, the whole chicken egg thing should be a breeze. My point is, we’re pretty smart now.

“It had long been suspected that the egg came first but now we have the scientific proof that shows that in fact the chicken came first,” said Dr. Colin Freeman, from Sheffield University’s Department of Engineering Materials, according to the Mail.

“The protein had been identified before and it was linked to egg formation, but by examining it closely we have been able to see how it controls the process,” he said.

So there it is, the answer to the great question: Which came first the chicken or the egg?

Answer: The Chicken.
